9.28 Head Joint Rubber
(1) Remove the Head joint spring.
(2) Release the two Hooks on the Tube binder, hold up the right side of the Tube
binder and slide it in the direction of the arrow, then remove it from the Head/
carriage unit. At the same time, remove the Head joint.
Note: After removal of the Head joint, immediately wrap the Head joint in a clean, lint-
free cloth and keep it higher than the Ink refill ASSY to prevent ink remaining in the Ink
supply tubes from leaking and the machine from getting stained with leaked ink.
Assembling Note: Pass the L-shaped section of the Tube binder beneath the CR
encoder strip to prevent it from coming into contact with the CR encoder strip.
