Using Instrument Functions
Connecting and Configuring Printers and Plotters
Select an Appropriate Interface Cable
If your peripheral is to be connected to HP-IB, choose one of the following
cables :
l HP 10833A HP-IB Cable, 1.0 m
l HP 10833B HP-II3 Cable, 2.0 m
l HP 10833D HP-II3 Cable, 0.5 m
If your peripheral is to be connected via the parallel or serial port on the
analyzer, choose from the following recommended cables:
l HP C2950A Parallel Interface Cable, 2.0 m
l HP C2951A Parallel Interface Cable, 3.0 m
l HP C2946A Parallel Printer Cable, 3.0 m
l HP C2947A Parallel Printer Cable, 10.m
l HP C2913A RS-232C (Serial) Interface Cable, 1.2 m
l HP 245420 Serial Interface Cable, 3 m (9F to 25M)
If your peripheral is to be connected via the LAN port (Option lF7 only) on
the analyzer, you will need a LAN hub and 2 Ethertwist cables. Choose from
the following:
l HP J2610B AdvanceStack lOBase-T Hub-8U (typical 8-port hub)
l HP J2611B AdvanceStack lOBase-T Hub- 16U (typical 16-port hub)
l HP 922688 Twisted-pair “straight-through” cable, 4 m
l HP 92268B Twisted-pair “straight-through” cable, 8 m
l HP 92268C Twisted-pair “straight-through” cable, 16 m
l HP 92268D Twisted-pair “straight-through” cable, 32 m
l HP 92268N Twisted-pair “straight-through” cable, 300 m
