17.1Installing the crankshaft
300501-10
– Clamp the right section of the engine case into the engine work stand.
– Slide crankshaft all the way into the bearing seat of the right section of the
engine case.
17.2Installing the transmission shafts
300500-10
– Push both transmission shafts into the bearing seats together.
17.3Installing the left engine case
300499-11
– Mount engine case gasket and dowels .

The axial play cannot be adjusted.

– Mount the left section of the engine case.
– Mount screws but do not tighten yet.

Screw, engine case M6x40 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
– Mount screw but do not tighten yet.
Guideline
Screw, engine case M6x35 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
– Mount screw but do not tighten yet.
Guideline
Screw, engine case M6x55 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
– Mount screws and tighten all screws in a crisscross pattern.
Guideline
Screw, engine case M6x30 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
– Mount distance bushing with the chamfer facing inward.
