Replacing batteries in a battery module
The following precautionary measures should be carefully taken into account when working
with the battery module and the rechargeable batteries:
1. Remove watches, rings and other metal objects.
2. Always used tools with insulated handles.
The batteries of a BAT8600 battery module can be replaced if the battery module is
completely disconnected from the SITOP UPS8600 - as well as in operation.
The following battery types are used in the BAT8600 battery module:
NEC ALM 12V7s HP (12 V/5 Ah)
Panasonic UP-VW1245P1 (12 V/7.8 Ah)
Note
In a battery module, always
replace all batteries.
In a battery module, always
use the same battery type.
