The IP address configuration is described in the following sections:

Configuring the Hostname and Host IP Address
The host name is corresponded to the IP address by using this command. When
you use applications like Telnet, you can use the host name without having to
memorize the IP address since the system translates it to the IP address
automatically.
Perform the following configuration in System View.
By default, there is no host name associated to any host IP address.
For further information on IP Address configuration, please refer to the Getting
Started Guide that accompanies your Switch.
Configuring the IP Address of the VLAN Interface
You can configure an IP address for every VLAN interface of the Switch.
Perform the following configuration in VLAN Interface View.
By default, the IP address of a VLAN interface is null.
Displaying and
Debugging IP Address
After the above configuration, enter the display command in any view to display
the IP addresses configured on interfaces of the network device, and to verify the
effect of the configuration.
