4.3.5. Replacement of cabling, axis 5 motor
Location of cabling
The separate cables for the axis 5 motor are located inside the upper arm tube, as shown in
the figure below.

Required equipment
Removal, cabling axis 5 motor
The procedure below details how to remove the cabling from the axis 5 motor.
A Motor axis 5 with connectors R4.FB5 and R4.MP5
B Connectors R3.FB5 and R3.MP5
Equipment Spare part no. Note
Cable harness axis 5 3HAC 14139-1

Action Note
1.
DANGER!
Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and
pneumatic pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots: Do not turn off the
air pressure to motors and SMB.
2. Remove the complete wrist unit. Detailed in section:

unit on page 278.
• IRB 6600ID/6650ID: Removal,
wrist unit on page 283.
