Replace the O-ring on the oil passage
duct.
Before refitting
UPON REFITTING THE CRANKSHAFT, GREASE THE SHAFT BUSHING-CONNECTING ROD
COUPLING.
Inspecting the crankshaft components
Checking crankshaft endfloat
•
The shaft axial clearance on the crank-
case should be checked with a dial
gauge mounted on the specific dial
gauge support.
•
The clearance should be between 0.10
and 0.26 mm (0.0039 - 0.0102 in).
•
If the clearance is beyond tolerance,
check the reference surfaces.
