SETIING THE HEADLAMPS
(Series U TF ")
The lamps should be set so that the maln drlvlng
beams
are parallel with the road surface or in accor-
dance with
your local regulations.
If
adjustment is required, this is achieved by remov-
Ing the plated rim and dust-excluding rubber as in·
dicated in Section
N.ll.
Vertical adjustment can then be made by turning
the screws at the top of the lamp in the necessary
direction.
Horizontal adjustment can be effected by using the
adjustment screws on each side of the light unit.

CLEANING THE lAMPS (Series" TF")
Care must be taken when handling headlamp
reflectors to prevent them from becoming finger-
marke d. A trans parent and colo urless protectiVe
covering enables any finger-marks to be removed
by polishing
with a chamois leather or a very soft dry
cloth if they do become marked. Do not use metal
polish on reflectors.
Chromium-plated surfaces such as lamp rims should
be washed
with plenty of water, and when the dirt is
completely removed they may be polished with a
chamois
leather or soft dry cloth. Do not use metal
polishes on chromium plating.

SJDELAMPS
To reach the bulb in a sldelarnp, take out the screw
in the top of the lamp and withd raw the glass and rim
forward.
The bulb has a bayonet fitting.

THE TAll-lAMPS AND STOP~llGHTS
(Series U TF ")
The tail-lamps are of the double-filament type, the
second filament giving a marked increase in brilliance
when the brakes are applied.
To
obtain access to the bulbs, withdraw the rims
