2. Tighten the drive bolt
e
until the cylinder
r
bottoms
out against the crankcase.
3. Once the seal is properly installed, loosen the drive
bolt
e
and remove special tool PU-52493 from the
crankshaft.
4. Install the Inner PVT Cover. Refer to Inner PVT Cover
Service page 6.11.
5. Test drive the vehicle and recheck for leaks before
putting back into service.
ENGINE REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Service page
2.62.
2. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold
Service page 3.16.
3. Remove the inner clutch cover. Refer to Inner PVT
Cover Service page 6.11.
4. Remove the exhaust headpipe. Refer to Headpipe
Service page 3.22.
5. Disconnect the fuel supply line from the fuel rail.
Refer to Fuel Supply Line Service page 5.8.
6. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Coolant Service
page 3.80.
7. Disconnect the thermostat and water pump coolant
hoses.
8. Disconnect all electrical connectors and remove the
harness from the engine. Refer to Engine Harness
Routing page 4.3.
CAUTION
Ensure the engine is properly supported with an engine
hoist before proceeding.
