SHOCK REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
NOTICE
Rear suspension is shown. Procedure is the same for
the front suspension.
IMPORTANT
Note the position of the mounting bolts when removing
the shock. There are inboard and outboard mounting
points on the front and rear shocks. Shocks should be
reinstalled in the same position as removed.
Adjustment of the rear shock mounting point is NOT
PERMITTED.
3 – Seat Models :
Front Shock : Inboard Mount
Rear Shock : Inboard Mount
Crew Models :
Front Shock : Inboard Mount
Rear Shock : Outboard Mount
REMOVAL
1. Elevate the vehicle and relieve any tension on the
suspension.
WARNING
Ensure the vehicle is properly supported before
beginning this procedure. Severe injury or death can
occur if the vehicle tips or falls.
2. Remove the upper shock mounting bolt and nut.
3. Remove the lower shock mounting bolt and nut.
4. Remove the shock assembly from the vehicle.
5. If replacing shock, remove the shock spring. Refer to
Shock Spring Replacement page 9.26.
