DRIVE BELT
DRIVE BELT SERVICE
REMOVAL
1. Remove the outer clutch cover. PVT Clutch Cover
Service page 6.7.
2. Install clutch spreader tool 2883577 into the threaded
hole on the driven clutch and turn clockwise to
release the sheave from the drive belt.
IMPORTANT
If reusing belt, mark the direction of travel before
removing.
3. Remove the belt off the bottom of the driven clutch
and slowly turn the driven clutch counter-clockwise to
aid in removal.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the belt over drive clutch and begin to install
over the drive clutch. While pushing down on the belt,
turn the driven clutch clockwise and continue to walk
the belt onto the clutch.
2. Remove the clutch spreader tool and rotate the
movable sheave 5-7 times clockwise to properly seat
the drive belt.
3. Install the outer clutch cover. PVT Clutch Cover
Service page 6.7.
