13-4 FUEL SYSTEM AND THROTTLE BODY
• When installing the fuel pump assembly 2, first tighten all the
fuel pump mounting bolts 3 lightly and then to the specified
torque.
Fuel pump mounting bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lbf-ft)
• Connect the fuel hose 4 to the fuel pump until it locks
securely (a click is heard).
FUEL PRESSURE INSPECTION
• Remove the seat and radiator covers. (5-2)
• Remove the fuel tank bolt and rubber band. (13-2)
• Lift and hold the fuel tank.
• Place a rag under the fuel hose and remove the fuel hose 1.
• Disconnect the fuel pump coupler 2.
• Install the special tools between the fuel pump and fuel deliv-
ery pipe.

A To fuel pump
B To fuel delivery pipe
Be sure to connect the fuel hose 4 by your hand. You
may not connect the fuel hose 4 with any tool.
Be sure to disconnect the fuel hose 1 by your hand.
You may not disconnect the fuel hose 1 with any tool.
