Engine will not start
or is hard to start.
Compression too low
• Valve clearance out of adjustment
• Worn valve guides or poor seating of valves
• Mistiming valves
• Excessively worn piston ring
• Worn-down cylinder bore

• Defective automatic decomp.
Plug not sparking
