SPRING CHANGE
• Remove the front forks. (18-5)
• Thoroughly clean the fork before disassembly.
• Remove the fork cap bolt and drain fork oil. (18-6)
• Loosen the center bolt completely. (18-7)
• Compress the outer tube by hands and install the piston
holder (special tool) between the axle holder 1 and lock-nut

• Hold the lock-nut 2 with a wrench and remove the center bolt

• Remove the push rod. (18-7)
• Remove the damper rod assembly and fork spring. (18-8)
• Hold the front fork inverted position for more than 20 minutes
the allow the fork oil to fully drain. (4-6)
• Force out the remaining oil using compressed air completely.

• Replace the spring.
* The fork oil quantity must be adjusted equally on
both fork legs to provide equal performance.
* Scratches or other damage on the inner tube or on
the oil seal lip will cause oil leakage.
* Avoid scratching or damaging the inner tube or the
oil seal. Use a mild detergent or car wash soap and
sponge out dirt with plenty of water.
