WATER PUMP
REMOVAL
WATER PUMP CASE
• Drain engine oil. (2-13)
• Drain engine coolant by removing the engine coolant drain
bolt 1.
• Disconnect the radiator hose 3 by loosing its clamp screw 2.
• Remove the water pump case 5 by removing its bolts 4.
• Remove the dowel pins 6, spring 7 and oil filter 8.
CRANKCASE COVER
• Remove the brake pedal. (17-20)
• Remove the kick starter lever. (8-3)
• Remove the right crankcase cover 2, dowel pins and gasket
by removing crankcase bolts 1.
* Engine coolant may be harmful if swallowed or if it
comes in contact with the skin or eyes. If engine
coolant gets into the eyes or contacts the skin, flush
the eyes or wash the skin thoroughly, with plenty of
water. If engine coolant is swallowed, induce vomit-
ing and call a physician immediately.
* The engine must be cool before servicing the cooling
system.
