CYLINDER HEAD, CYLINDER AND PISTON 6-5
• Place a wrench over the crankshaft and turn it counter clock-
wise to align the TDC mark A with the center of the groove B
of the timing inspection hole.
NOTE:
* The piston must be at TDC on the compression stroke.
* Make sure that the cylinder is at TDC on compression stroke
and also the timing mark C on the camshafts are aligned with
the mating surface of the cylinder head.
C Timing mark
• Disconnect the condenser coupler 3 and remove the con-
denser 4.
• Remove the cam chain tension adjuster cap bolt 5, gasket
6, bar 7 and spring 8.
• Remove the cam chain tension adjuster 0 by removing its
bolts 9.
• Remove the camshaft journal holder A.

NOTE:
The descending order of numbers are indicated on the camshaft
journal holder.
Be sure to loosen the camshaft journal holder bolts
evenly by shifting the wrench in the descending order
of numbers.
