18.7 Replacement of the Link Decryptor
The Link Decryptor board is mounted on the HDSDI board. This procedure assumes that he HDSDI
board is already removed from the Card Cage.
Required tools
T10 Torx screwdriver.
How to replace the Link Decryptor?
1. Remove the HDSDI board from the Card Cage. See “Replacement of the HDSDI board”, page 216.
2. Loosen the four screws (reference 1 Image 18-6) of the Link Decryptor board. Use a T10 Torx screwdriver.

3. Pull off the current mounted Link Decryptor board.
4. Unpack the new Link Decryptor board and plug it into both board-connectors on the HDSDI board at the same
time. Ensure the Link Decryptor board is correctly oriented: see illustration.
5. Fasten the four screws of the Link Decryptor.
6. Install the HDSDI board in the Card Cage. See “Replacement of the HDSDI board”, page 216.
A marriage between the new Link Decryptor and the ICP board must be realized. See procedure
“Authorization to clear security warning on the projector”, page 112.
After installation of a new Link Decryptor check for latest software version. See user guide of the
Communicator.
18.8 Replacement of the Cinema Controller
WARNING: Disconnect the power cord of the projector from the power net and wait a few minutes
(to discharge the capacitors) prior to starting this procedure.
CAUTION: Wear a wrist band which is connected to the ground while handling the electrostatic
discharge sensitive parts.
Required tools
PH2 Phillips screwdriver.
Card Cage
