7.7 Quantification
Quantification is possible for every spectrum measured with the M4 TORNADO.
Point spectra can be measured directly with Point, Multi-Point or Auto-Point or by batches of
them.
Quantification is possible for spectra calculated from distribution analysis (LineScan or Mapping
as single point spectra or as a spectrum of an object).
7.7.1 Quantification of a single element spectrum
The quantification routine of single point spectra is basically the same as the other modes e.g.
line or area only that the data is aquired on one spot.

highlighting it in the list below the spectrum display

Select the quantification method via the downward-
facing arrow next to the Quantify button

Define the special conditions for the quantification
with the right-facing arrow below the Quantify
button (method editor)

Fundamental Parameter-model (standardless)

Peak identification as defined
in the actual spectrum
in the displayed list
by automatic identification

Define the special properties of every element

Select the measurement mode automatic or
interactive with the toggle function “A” and “i”
