Each new user is automatically assigned a folder structure in a private volume of the server.
Default methods, a predefined user profile, and demo data are copied to the user folders.
Open the dialog for
creating a new user with
New.
Define user name and
password.

5.3.3 Altering user name and password
User name and password can be altered at any time via the communication server (icon in the
Windows
®
task bar) by clicking Change in the QuanTax user tab.
The user data and profile are automatically copied to the new user data structures. Safety copies
of valuable data, which are recommended anyway, are especially advisable when changing user
names.
5.3.4 Deleting users
Normally there is no need to delete assigned users. If users have to be deleted anyway, it has to
be made sure that all user data to be retained is copied to public volumes.
To delete a user, highlight the user name in the list provided in the QuanTax user tab of the
communication server. After clicking Delete the deletion of the user data has to be confirmed
separately. Caution, once confirmed, the deletion cannot be revoked! If the deletion of the data is
not confirmed, the data are retained invisible; a new user with the same name as a previously
deleted will be assigned to the idle data.
5.4 Establishing the Operating State
5.4.1 General operating instructions
Caution!
The spectrometers represent highly sensitive measuring systems, which can be
impaired or destroyed by inappropriate use or harmful influences.
5.4.1.1 Detector maintenance
The detector is the most sensitive part of the spectrometer. According to the type of detector at
hand, different operations regulations apply. These must be followed strictly.
