4.10 Setting for FAX: FAX-2810/2820
FAX-2810 : Japanese character machine, 100VAC type
FAX-2820 : CE supported English character machine, 220VAC type
The operations are the same for FAX-2810 and FAX-2820. Settings are
required for the ECM and the Modem.
4.10.1 ECM ON/OFF Setting
If the communication quality is low and FAX communication cannot be made in a
proper manner, change ECM TM/RX to “OFF”.
Procedure)
1. Quickly press the keys in the order of; [Menu/Set][*][2][8][6][4].
2. Once the equipment has entered in the maintenance mode, “MAINTENANCE” will
be displayed on the LCD.
3. Press [1][0] to switch the screen to WSW No. input screen.
“WSW00” will be displayed on the LCD.
4. To make the ON/OFF setting for the ECM, press [2][2]. If the value is set
to default value, “WSW22=00100000” will be displayed on the LCD.
5. If you wish to set ECM to ON, press [0][0], and if you wish to set ECM to OFF,
press [1][1], and then press the [Menu/Set] key. “WSW00” will be displayed on the
LCD.
x ECM ON : WSW22 = 00100000
x ECM OFF : WSW22 = 11100000
