AP2.3.2 Forward the System Log
You can forward the Error, Warning, and Notice messages to the network equipment of
the specified IP address.

Since the IP addresses will be automatically allocated by the DHCP server, it is
recommended to have a static IP address set for the forwarding target network terminal,
such as the Syslog server.

This document is described based on the assumption that “GSTsyslogd005” for Syslog
server is installed in the PC.
“GSTsyslogd005” is a freeware. You can search for it with “GSTsyslog” and download
the software.
** Using fixed IP addresses **
Please refer to page 7-7. The description below is based on the assumption that the IP
address is fixed by the PC and not using the DHCP server of the Communication unit.
1. As for the PC setting, select local area connection, and open Internet protocol
(TCP/IP) -> Properties, place a tick in “Use the following IP address”, and set the
following IP address.
- IP Address : Set the IP address within the range of 192.168.1.2 to
192.168.1.9
- Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
- Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1 -> Own IP address
2. Place a tick for “Use the following DNS server address”, and enter the IP address.
- DNS Servers : 192.168.1.1 -> Own IP address
