2042480-001 C Dash 2500 Patient Monitor 13-11
MASIMO SET® SpO2: SpO2 Menu
View SpO2 PR?
This option lets you view and trend the pulse rate currently being measured by
the SpO
2
parameter. This rate may be different from the value displayed for HR/
Pulse, because it is calculated from a different source (i.e., ECG). When viewable,
the SpO
2
PR value is also checked against the same limits set for HR/Pulse. If this
option is set to no, the SpO
2
PR value will only be displayed, trended, and
checked against limits when it is the source for HR/Pulse.
Enable spot check?
This option lets you enable or disable the SpO
2
spot check option. Choose yes to
be able to take individual SpO
2
readings—spot checks—without continuous
monitoring. If spot check is enabled, the SPOT CHECK message appears next to
the SpO
2
label in the waveform area. By enabling the spot check option, you can
apply the SpO
2
sensor to the patient, take a reading, then remove the sensor
from the patient, acknowledge the LOST PULSE or SENSOR OFF alarm, and the
Monitor returns to READY mode allowing for SpO
2
readings at a later time.
Choose no to continuously monitor SpO
2
. By disabling the spot check option,
when you remove the SpO
2
sensor from the patient a LOST PULSE or SENSOR
OFF alarm sounds indicating continuous monitoring has been interrupted. The
Monitor continues to alarm until either the patient signal is detected again or
SpO
2
is turned off-line.
Cardiac sweep speed
This option lets you set the display sweep speed to 12.5 mm/s, 25.0 mm/s, or
50.0 mm/s. Changes you make to the sweep speed in this menu will affect the
sweep speed of all cardiopulmonary waveforms with the possible exception of
the primary ECG waveform. The chosen sweep speed appears next to the SpO
2
label in the waveform area when it is a setting other than 25.0 mm/s.
Limit alarms priority
This option lets you choose the priority of crisis or warning for the limit alarms.
The default limit alarms priority is warning.
other alarm priorities
This option lets you choose priorities for sensor disconnected, lost pulse,
sensor off, signal quality and sensor faulty alarms.
Select SpO2’s color
This option lets you change the color of this parameter’s vital signs that appear
on the Monitor screen.
