NOTICE
If the machine has been stored without the monthly rust prevention operation, consult your Komatsu dis-
tributor for service.
When using the machine after long-term storage, do as follows before using it.
q Wipe off the grease from the hydraulic cylinder rods.
q Add oil and grease at all lubrication points.
q When the machine is stored for a long period, moisture in the air can contaminate the oil over time. Check the
oil for presence of water before and after starting the engine. If there is water in the oil, change the oil.
STARTING MACHINE AFTER LONG-TERM STORAGE 3
When starting the engine after the machine has been in storage for a long time, carry out the automatic warming-
up operation.
If the engine is started according to the starting procedure for cold weather, the warming-up operation is carried
out automatically.
