- Remove the lower triple clamp. (r p. 29)
- Install the lower triple clamp. (r p. 29)

- Install the lower triple clamp. (r p. 32)

- Remove the headlight mask with the headlight. (r p. 69)
- Remove the fork legs. (r p. 14)
- Remove the front fender. (r p. 69)
- Remove screws e and hang the CDI control unit to the side.

I Do not unplug the CDI control unit.
- Remove screw e. Remove screw e, take off the top triple clamp with the handle-
bar, and place it on one side.
• Info
I Protect the motorcycle and its attachments against damage by covering
them.
Do not bend the cables and lines.
- Remove O-ring
e. Remove protective ring e.
- Take out the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
- Take out the upper steering
head bearing.
Installinl the lower trillie clamll (EXC USA, all SIX DAYS models)

- Clean the bearing and sealing elements, check for damage, and grease.
I High viscosity grease (r p. 252)
- Insert the lower triple clamp with the steering stem. Mount the upper steering head
bearing.
- Check whether the top steering head seal e is correctly positioned .
- Slide
on protective ring e and O-ring e.
