- Align both pistons using the special tool.
I Centering sleeve (Tl214) ( -- p. 263)
- Tighten the nut.

I Piston rod nut

Remove the special tool.
- Assemble the piston rod. (

- Slide the spring and piston onto the compression damping adjuster •.
- Grease the O-ring.
I Lubricant (Tl58) ( -- p. 252)
- Grease the threads.
I Lubricant (Tl59) ( -- p. 253)
- Mount and tighten the compression damping adjuster.

- Install adjusting ring. with an intermediate washer.

I The adjusting ring cannot be mounted after the piston rod has been assem-
bled!
- Mount
screw. but do not tighten yet.

Grease the O-ring of the seal ring retainer.
I Lubricant (Tl58) ( -- p. 252)
- Fill the damper cartridge approximately half way.
I Shock absorber oil (SAE 2,5) (50180342S1) ( -- p. 250)
- Carefully mount the piston rod.
