ENGINE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
Drain engine oil. (2-13)
Drain engine coolant. (14-3)
Remove the seat 1.
Remove the radiator covers 2, left and right.
Remove the right frame cover 3.
Place the jack under the frame to support the motorcycle.
Remove the fuel tank bolt 4 and rubber band 5.
Lift and hold the fuel tank.
Disconnect the fuel pump coupler 6.
Place a rag under the fuel hose 7 and disconnect the fuel
hose 7 from the fuel pump.
Remove the fuel tank assembly.
To prevent the motorcycle from falling, make sure to
support the frame with a jack.
* Be sure to disconnect the fuel hose 7 by hand. Do
not disconnect the fuel hose 7 with any tool.
* When removing the fuel tank, do not leave the fuel
hose 7 on the fuel tank side.
