Square Fold and Trim Features
SQUARE FOLD FEATURE
The Square Fold feature is available only when the printer is connected to both a finisher with a booklet maker and
the SquareFold
®
Trimmer Module.
You can access and select the Square Fold feature from your computer print driver, the printer user interface, or
from the print server.
Square Fold Adjustment Settings
The Square Fold feature can be enabled or disabled, based on the user preference. When the feature is enabled,
select an option for the finished booklet job.
Note: Before you print large jobs, print one or more test prints.

1 When your finished booklet is five or fewer pages and printed on paper that is lighter than
100 g/m

, select --22 // LLoowweerr // LLooww 22. The least amount of pressure that can be applied to the
booklet is -2.
2 When you want the least amount of pressure applied to the spine of the booklet, select --11 //
LLooww // LLooww 11. The less pressure applied to the booklet, the more rounded the booklet spine
becomes.
3 AAuuttoo // NNoorrmmaall is the default setting and is used for most jobs.
4 When you want a greater amount of pressure applied to the spine of the booklet, but not as
much pressure as the +2 setting, select ++11 // HHiigghh // HHiigghh 11.
5 When you want the maximum amount of pressure applied to the spine of the booklet, select
++22 // HHiigghheerr // HHiigghh 22. The more pressure that is applied, the more square the booklet spine
becomes. The greatest amount of pressure that can be applied to the booklet is +2.
