30. Install two cone point set screws into the cylinder and tighten into the groove on the body.
31. Perform “Installing an LSV on the Analyzer.
Installing the LSV on the Analyzer
1. Open the isothermal oven door.
2. Install the vaporizer assembly around the vaporizer chamber.
3. Install the four screws that retain the two parts of the vaporizer assembly.
4. Install the insulation around the vaporizer assembly.
5. Install the insulation cover over the vaporizer assembly and insulation.
6. Install the LSV on the analyzer.
7. Orient the flange so that the marks made at LSV removal are lined up. This should have the
sample chamber vertical with the air connections at the top of the valve and the connection of
the vaporizer chamber at the top.
8. Install the four screws holding the flange to the side of the analyzer and tighten the screws.
9. Reconnect all tubing on the Liquid Sample Valve.
10. Close the isothermal oven door.
Replacing the LSV Vaporizer Assembly
1. On the Manual Temperature Control Mode screen, note which zone has the LSV connection.
2. Stop the analysis at the end of a cycle.
3. Turn off power, carrier, sample, and air to the analyzer and allow it to cool.
4. Open the Controller front and side doors, and the isothermal oven door.
5. In the Digital Temperature Controller, locate the Liquid Sample Valve’s Zone Board.
6. Disconnect the LSV heater and sensor wires, which make up the vaporizer cable.
7. Withdraw the free end of the vaporizer cable from beneath the Card Cage into the Controller
housing.
8. Inside the isothermal oven, loosen any cable clamps securing the vaporizer cable assembly and
free the cable.
9. Label all tubing connections to the LSV.
10. Disconnect all tubing connections to the LSV.
11. Mark the analyzer and flange to ensure the flange is reinstalled in the correct orientation.
12. Remove the four screws holding the flange to the side of the analyzer.
13. Separate the LSV from the analyzer.
