2. To compensate for the pressure drop through Column 1, adjust the ANALYTICAL FLOW
ADJUST needle valve (accessed from the right side of the Oven Compartment) until the flow rate
at the cell vent of the detector cell is the same as the total column flow.
3. If the analyzer has several valves, first set the lowest-numbered valve ON and check the flow
rate. Then set the other valves on one at a time, checking the flow rate and adjusting the
corresponding restrictor (if necessary) after each valve is turned on.
