User Guidelines
Use the
sntp broadcast client enable
Global Configuration mode command to enable Broadcast
clients globally.
Use the
sntp anycast client enable
Global Configuration mode command to enable Anycast clients
globally.
Examples
The following example enables the SNTP client on Ethernet port 1/e3.
sntp unicast client enable
The sntp unicast client enable Global Configuration mode command enables the device to use the
Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) to request and accept SNTP traffic from servers. Use the no
form of this command to disable requesting and accepting SNTP traffic from servers.
Syntax
sntp unicast client enable
no sntp unicast client enable
Default Configuration
The SNTP Unicast client is disabled.
Command Mode
Global Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
Use the
sntp server
Global Configuration mode command to define SNTP servers.
Examples
The following example enables the device to use the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) to request
and accept SNTP traffic from servers.
Console(config)# interface ethernet 1/e3
Console(config-if)# sntp client enable
