ip default-gateway
The ip default-gateway Global Configuration mode command defines a default gateway (router). Use the
no form of this command to return to the default configuration.
Syntax
• ip default-gateway ip-address
• no ip default-gateway
• ip-address — Valid IP address of the default gateway.
Default Configuration
No default gateway is defined.
Command Mode
Global Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
The following example defines default gateway 192.168.1.1.
show ip interface
The show ip interface User EXEC mode command displays the usability status of configured
IP interfaces.
Syntax
• show ip interface [ ethernet interface-number | vlan vlan-id | port-channel port-channel number. ]

interface-number — Valid Ethernet port.

vlan-id — Valid VLAN number.
•
port-channel number. — Valid Port-channel number.
