User Guidelines
• This command is available only on the line console.
• To start communication using Autobaud, press
<Enter>
twice. This configuration applies only to the
current session.
Examples
The following example enables autobaud.
exec-timeout
The exec-timeout Line Configuration mode command sets the interval that the system waits until user
input is detected. Use the no form of this command to return to the default configuration.
Syntax

exec-timeout
minutes

seconds
]

no exec-timeout
•
minutes
— Specifies the number of minutes. (Range: 0 - 65535)
•
seconds
— Specifies additional time intervals in seconds. (Range: 0 - 59)
Default Configuration
The default configuration is 10 minutes.

Line Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
• To specify no timeout, enter the
exec-timeout
0 command.
Examples
The following example configures the interval that the system waits until user input is detected to 20
minutes.

Console(config-line)# autobaud
Console(config)# line console
