Interface Tunnel Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
The
ipv6 tunnel routers-dns
command determines the string that the host uses for automatic tunnel
router lookup in IPv4 DNS procedure. By default, the string ‘ISATAP is used for the corresponding
automatic tunnel types.
Per tunnel only one string can represent the automatic tunnel router name. Using this command
overwrites the existing entry.
Example
The following example configures a global string "Dell_Tunnel_Router" to represent a specific automatic
tunnel router domain name..
tunnel source
The tunnel source Interface Tunnel Configuration
mode
command sets the local (source) tunnel
interface IPv4 address. Use the no form to delete the tunnel local address.
Syntax
tunnel source

no tunnel source
auto
— The system minimum IPv4 address is used as the source address for packets sent on the
tunnel interface. If the IPv4 address is changed then the local address of the tunnel interface is
also changed.
ip4-address
— Pv4 address to use as the source address for packets sent on the tunnel interface.
The tunnel interface local address is not changed when the IPv4 address is moved to another
interface.
interface
— Interface which the minimum IPv4 address is used as the source address for packets
sent on the tunnel interface. If the minimum IPv4 address is removed from the interface or moved
to another interface then the next minimum IPv4 address is chosen as the local IPv4 address. The
parameter has the following format:
ethernet
interface-number
|
vlan
vlan-id
|
port-channel
number.
Default Configuration
No source address is defined.
Console (config)# interface tunnel 1
