DIP Switch Block #3 selects between RS232C and
Pulse Mode Communications (See Table 2-3).
Special Settings
When the VEGA Status LED indicates Stand-by
operation, rewrite the ccTalk Initialization 
Encryption Code by performing the special setting
informat
ion that follows.
S TAND - BY M ODE LED A SSIGNMENT I NDICATION
To change the LED Indication Pattern to show a
Green, Blue or Rainbow Gradient Color, set the
DIP Switches as indicated in either Figure 2-6, 
Figure 2-8 or Figure 2-7 for the desired LED result.
To set and save the desired LED setting proceed as
fol
lows:
1. Turn the VEGA Unit Power OFF.
2. Set DS1 Switches No.1, 2 and 7 to
ON when
choosing the LED gradient indication desired.
3. Turn the VEGA Unit Power ON.
4. Set DS1 Switch No.1 to OFF to memorize the
S
tand-By setting indication and embed it into the
VEGA Unit’s memory.
5. The selected Color setting will be reflected by the
Fron
t Panel LED Color flashing indication when
the desired assignment is completed correctly.
R EWRITING CC -T ALK E NCRYPTION C ODE (I NITIAL -
IZE )
The ccTalk Interface Initialization Encryption Code
is rewritten into the Serial Number by making the
DIP Switch settings shown in Figure 2-9.
To set and save the desired
ccTalk setting proceed
as follows:
1. Turn the VEGA Unit Power OFF.
2. Set
Switch Block DS1 Switches No.1 through
No.6 to ON.
3. Turn the VEGA Unit Power ON.
4. Set DS1 Switch No.1 to OFF. When the LED is
extingu
ished (goes out), Encryption Code re-
writing into the Serial Number (initialize) has
beg
un.
5. The LED will flash Blue when the memory
rew
rite procedure is complete.

procedure again.
