Vehicle key
Principle
Two vehicle keys are included in the scope
of delivery, each containing an integrated
key.
Each vehicle key contains a replaceable
battery. If the vehicle key's battery is dis-
charged, the vehicle key will not be de-
tected. In this case, drive-ready state can
be turned on by emergency detection of the
vehicle key.
Depending on the equipment and national-
market version, various settings are possi-
ble for the button functions.
A MINI ID or driver profile with personal
settings can be assigned to a vehicle key.
To provide information on maintenance rec-
ommendations, the service data is stored in
the vehicle key.
To prevent possible locking in of the vehicle
key, take the vehicle key with you when
exiting the vehicle.
