CYLINDER INSTALLATION
1. Install the cylinder base gasket

NOTICE
Install gasket with bead facing up.
2. Prior to installation of cylinder, liberally coat the inside
of each cylinder and the outside of each piston with
Polaris two-stroke engine oil.
3. Carefully install the cylinder
w
. Squeeze the piston
ring, then carefully slide the cylinder over the
compressed ring.
NOTICE
When installing a piston into a cylinder, verify each
piston ring opening is located at each piston ring
locating pin.
4. Install the six cylinder fasteners
e
and torque to
specification.
NOTICE
The longer cylinder fasteners should be positioned in
the exhaust side mounting holes.
TORQUE
Cylinder Fasteners:
40 ft-lbs (54 N·m)
Torque in sequence page 3.50
Apply VES oil under fastener head and to threads prior
to installation.
5. Install injectors, fuel rail, and new fuel rail fasteners

. Torque fasteners to specification.
IMPORTANT
Use new fuel rail mounting fasteners during installation.
TORQUE
Fuel Rail Fasteners:
First Pass: 5 ft-lbs (6.5 N·m)
Second Pass: 15 ft-lbs (20 N·m)
