BATTERY REMOVAL
CAUTION
Hot exhaust system parts can cause burns. Allow
adequate time for the exhaust system to cool. Never
perform this procedure with the engine running.
1. Remove the right side panel.
2. Remove the plastic rivet

and fastener

securing
the console panel to the chassis.
3. Remove the plastic rivet

securing the fender to the
chassis.
4. Disconnect the black (negative) battery cable

first.
5. Disconnect the red (positive) cable

last.
6. Pull the fender away from the battery compartment to
gain better access.
7. Remove the battery hold down strap
