(2) HST Model
Checking High Pressure Relief Valve Pressure
CAUTION
• When checking, park the machine on flat ground, apply the
parking brake.
1. Remove the hex. socket head plug from P1 or P2 port. (P2 is for
forward and P1 is for reverse.)
2. Assemble long adaptor C (07916-60831) and threaded joint
(07916-50341) with the gasket between them.
3. Install the assemble long adaptor C and threaded joint to P2
(forward) or P1 (reverse) port.
4. Install the cable, threaded joint in relief valve set pressure tester
and high pressure gauge to threaded joint in order.
5. Check to see that parking brake is applied.
6. Operate the engine at maximum speed.
7. Place the range gear shift lever in H position.
8. Depress the HST pedal, and measure the high pressure relief
valve pressure.
9. If the measurement is not within the factory specification, check
the high pressure relief valve assembly. (See page 3-S49.)
(When reassembling)
• Install the hex. socket head plug to the port with O-ring.
Condition
• Engine speed:
Maximum
• Oil temperature:
45 to 55 °C (113 to 131 °F)
IMPORTANT
• Measure quickly so that the relief valve may not be in
operation more than 10 seconds.
NOTE
• Be sure to use a pressure gauge with over 39.2 MPa
(400 kgf/cm
2
, 5690 psi) capacity.
