Valve check
•
Measure the width of the sealing surface on the valve seats and on the valves themselves.
•
If the sealing surface on the valve is wider than the specified limit, damaged in one or more
points or curved, replace the valve with a new one.
CAUTION
DO NOT CHANGE THE VALVE FITTING POSITION (RH - LH).

0.060 mm (0.0023 in)
Maximum clearance admitted - Exhaust:
0.070 mm (0.0027 in)
•
Remove the head cover.
•
Bring the engine to reach the top dead
centre and lock it at that position using
the specific tool (4).
Specific tooling

•
Use a feeler gauge to check clearance
on the four valves.
•
If the values measured differ from the
values specified, record the difference
between MAXIMUM ALLOWED
CLEARANCE e CLEARANCE MEAS-
URED.
