CLUTCH/GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
Insta ll the clutch spri ngs and lifter plate.
I
nSTall and t ighte n the l ifter plaTe bolts.
NOTE
Ti ghten the titter plate bo lts in a crisscross pattern
in 2-3 steps.
Install the lifter plate bearing and ctutch lifter pin.
Install the right crankcase cover (page 9-12)

REMOVAL
Remolle the ri ght crankcase Caller (page 9-3).
Remove the oil pump (page4·2).
Remove the o il th rough and sp ring from t he
crankshaft.
Attach
the gear ho lder between the pr ima ry drive
and
dr iven gear as shown .
TOOL:
Gear holder
Re move the lock nut
Remove the foll owing :
- Oil Through d ri ve pin
- Washer
