MAINTENANCE
Major adj ustmen t can be mad e with the lowe(
adjuster.
Loosen t he lower adjuster lock nut and t urn the
adiu~ter an the way in.
L oosen the adjusting screw loc k nut on the right
cran kcase. Turn t he ad justing screw counter-
clockwise un t il resistance is felt. Then turn th e SC'iYW
clockwi se 118-1/4 of a turn. Hold the adjusti ng screw
and li
ghten the lock nut.
Turn
the l ower adjuster out unt il there is free pl ay
at the l ever end is 2S mm (1.0 inl.
Tighten the
lock nut.
Then t
urn the upper ad juster to ob tain t he specified
free play.
SIDE STAND

Suppon the motorcycle on a level surface.
Check the si
de stand spring for d~mage or loss of
tension.
Chec k the side stand assembly for smooth
movement and l ubricate the side stand pivol if
necessary.
