Remove the spring seat and spring.
INSPECTION
Measure the spr ing free length .
SERVICE LIMITS:
XRlooR :
'98 - loaD: 133.8 mm (5. 27 in)
A
fter 2000: 137.6 mm (5,42 in)
XR 80R: 133.3 mm (5.25 in)
Visually i nSpeCT the shock absorber Un iT for damage.
Check for:
-
Damper rod for bonds or damage
- Damper unit fo r defo r mation or Oil leah
- Bump rubber for wear or damage
- Mounting busl'ling for damage
Inspect all the other parts for wear or damage.
