FUEL LINE
C h ~ck the fue l li ne f or dete r io ration . damage or
l ea kage. Replace the fue ll ir>e if nece ss ary.
FUEL STRAINER SCREEN
Gasoline is extre mely flammable and;s explosive
under certllin conditions . Work in II well
ventilated IIru . Smoking or aI/owing flames 0'
sparks in the work area or wlllue the g/lsoline is
stored can c ause /I fire or sKp/osion .
Wipe up spilled gasoline at once .
Turn the fuel valve OFF and di sconnect Ih e fuel tube
110m t he carburetor .
Place a dr ain pan un der the fuel tube and turn the
fuel valve ON to dr ain the fu el tank.
After the tank has dra ined comp letel y. remove the
two boilS, luel valve arid strain er screen .
Wa sh the fuel strainer screen in non-flammab le or
high flash solvent.
Check Ihal 1he O-ring is in good condition. reinstall
t he fuel val ve.
Tighten the fue l valve mounting bolts.
After i ns talla tion, check fO f fuel leaks.
THROTTLE OPERATION
Chec ~ for smooth t h ro ll ie gr ip full opening and
aUTOma tic full closing in al l st eering p ositions .
Chec ~ the throttle cable and re place it if deter ior ated.

or damaged.
Lubricate the throttle cab le, if throttle ope r atiorl ;s
not smooth.
Measure the free play at the th r ottle gr ip flange.
FREE PLAY: 2 - 6 mm 1 1/12 - 1/4 inl
