Check the lIallle clearancc by insening a feeler gauge
betwee n the lIallle adjusting screw and lIal lle st em .
VALve CLEARANCE:
I N/EX: 0.05 mm (0.002 in)
ADJUSTMENT
Adjust by l oosening the loc k flut and turn ing th e
adjusting screw until there is a slight drag on the
feeler gauge.
HO ld the adjust ing screw <lnd tighten the lock nut to
the spe<:i fied t orque.

- Side cover (page 2·2)

OIL LEVEL INSPECTION
Suppon the motorcycle in an upr i ghT posi tion on
lellel ground.
R.amo .. e th e oil fillel cap/dipstiCk and wipe it clean.
ReinsTall the oil lill
er cap/dipstick, but do not screw
it.
