REMOVAL
Remove the crankshaft from the left crankcase.
INSPECTION
Measure the connecting rod big end side clearance
with a feeler gauge.
SERVI
CE LIMIT: O. 6() mm !C.024 in)
Measure the connecting rod
bIg end radial clea ra nce
al symmetr i ca l po ints as shown ,
SERVI CE LIMIT: 0,0 10 mm (0.000 01 in )
Turn the oute r race ot the crankshaft beari ng with
your tinger .
The
bearing should turn smoolhly and quietly.
Also check that Ihe i nner race of the bearing ti ts
ti ghtly on the clankshaft.
Check the ti ming sprocket tor wear or damage .
If you replacing the limi ng sprocket. ali gn the center
01 the sprocket teeth with the center of wood r uf f
