3. If new main or connecting rod bearings are to be installed, remove the main bearing inserts from the engine block and the
bearing caps or connecting rod bearing inserts from the connecting rods and caps. Install new bearings.

1. Remove all engine components.
2. Remove the camshaft rear bearing hole expansion cup plug.

3. Unscrew the oil gallery plugs.
