2.8.3 FormattingtheExternalStorageMedium
Formatting will remove the contents of the storage medium.
If the advanced security function (/AS option) is installed, external storage media cannot be
formatted.
Procedure
1 Press MENU.
The menu screen appears.
2 Tap the Browse tab and then Save load.
The menu screen appears.
3 Tap Format Media kind and then SD or USB.
4 Tap Volume name, and set the volume name.
5 Tap Execute.
A conrmation screen is displayed.
6 Tap OK.
The message “Execution is complete.” will appear. Tap the Close icon to close.
7 Tap Exit.
The GX/GP returns to the original screen.
