Charge the battery for 24 hours with
PN 06320-VH7-UA1 charger and
replace if necessary (P. 11 - 6
). Go to
“BATTERY HAS LOW VOLTAGE (less
than 12.7 V) (HZA type only)”
• Replace the fuse (P. 11 - 6).
• Check the wire harness.
• Check battery voltage at the starter
switch.
• Check the starter switch and replace
if necessary (P. 11 - 7
).
Less than 12.7 V
OK
Check the 30 A fuse (P. 11 -7 ).
Turn the key to the START position and
check the voltage from the red wire at
the starter motor to engine ground.
Move the negative probe to the oil pan
and retest. If voltage is now greater
than 12.7 V, check the starter motor
ground wire and connector (P. 11 - 7
).
Inspect/replace the starter motor
(P. 9-13
).
Check the battery voltage.
Turn the key to the START position.
Check the voltage across the starter
motor terminals (red wire and black wire)
(P. 9 -11
).
