2. INSTALLATION
1. Install the two 22 mm circlips and plain washers onto the
axle shafts.
2. Rotate the transmission so that the pulley is facing
toward the front of the mower, and install the transmission
in the mower.
3. Install the drive clutch cable on the transmission.
4. Route the clutch cable through the hole in the mower deck
so the bracket attached to the cable is against the
grommet in the deck.
5. Thoroughly apply a coat of Honda Marine extreme
pressure NLGI #2 GC-LB grease or equivalent to the
inside of the rear adjuster bushings, as well as to the
outside of the bushings where the contact the mower
deck, and install the rear adjuster plates and adjuster
arms. Install the plain washers and 22 mm circlips on the
adjusters.
IMPORTANT:
Only use an extreme pressure NLGI #2 GC-LB wheel
bearing grease. Proper application of the correct grease
is critical to ensure proper operation.
DO NOT USE anti-seize, white lithium, silicone, WD-40,
or any other spray lubricant.
6. Install two 13 mm washers and circlips on the axle shafts.
7. Position the drive belt over (but not in) the transmission
pulley, and connect the tension spring to the transmission
bracket.
