TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGE AND BENCH TEST PROCEDURE
1. Remove the transmission from the lawn mower.
2. Remove the transmission driven pulley and clean the
outside of the transmission.
3. Remove the cap and diaphragm.
4. Drain the fluid from the transmission.
Transmission fluid will darken during use and may appear
to contain fine metallic particles or residue. However, dark
gray oil with metallic residue is considered normal and
does not indicate excessive wear or an internal failure.
5. Install a 10 mm flange nut on the input shaft. Engage
the control arm and use a wrench to rotate the pump shaft
3 ~ 5 turns clockwise as shown.
